On Monday, April 27, Governor Parsons in an address to the State of Missouri outlined his plan to reopen Missouri's businesses and to begin to bring Missouri back to some sense of normalcy. Phase 1 of his plan is to lift the stay at home order effective Monday, May 4, 2020. At this time businesses will be able to reopen, and people will begin to return to work. While we may not, at this time, fully get back to the way it was, we can and must move forward to return to as normal of a life as possible while keeping safe practices in force. In the Governor's address he said the following:
As we reopen Missouri, citizens are encouraged to continue taking precautions to protect themselves and others by following these directives:
- Stay home if you feel sick
- Wash your hands often with soap and water or use hand sanitizer
- Avoid touching your face
- Sneeze or cough into a tissue or the inside of the elbow
- Disinfect frequently used items and surfaces
- Avoid socializing in groups that do not readily allow for appropriate social distancing
- Minimize travel to the extent possible
By following these guidelines, we will be able to open businesses and begin to live a more normal life. I am proud of the way you, the Citizens of Park Hills handled this unprecedented crisis. I would like to thank you for "Staying at Home" as much as possible to limit the spread of this virus. It is because of your efforts that we are now able to begin the process to reopen Park Hills. We may have to jump many unexpected hurdles over the coming months before we can finally declare victory over the COVID19 attack on our community and economy, but by working together and supporting one another we will return to a normal way of life. Once again, thank you for all your help during this crisis, and please "Stay Safe".
May God Bless and protect you and your family.
