This is the city's largest park and is comprised of five pavilions all of which are available for reservation and include nearby access to barbecue pits, playground equipment, one of the City's newest and most prized amenities - its new aquatic center fondly named: The REEF at Columbia Park. The park includes an 18-hole disc golf course which was newly installed in 2016 and is named one of the state's most challenging courses; a large outdoor amphitheater where the city hosts its summer concert series; a beautiful gazebo and stone chapel, both of which are ideal backgrounds for engagement, prom, or other photos; several types of playground equipment situated around the park, including a handicapped-accessible swing; a walking trail, perfect for exercise, which extends six-tenths of a mile long and incorporates beautiful scenery and some challenging hills; as well as newly installed lighting, restrooms, and much more.
Farmer's Market
Located at 2 East Main Street.
The Farmer's Market is located right on Main Street and offers visitors a local location to buy fresh produce from local farmers. Produce and other farm-fresh food vendors are free to set-up at the Farmer's Market regularly from spring through late autumn. A series of kiosks are available to produce vendors which allows them to easily display their home-grown goods.
Lions Park
Located at 401 Lewis Street.
Made possible by a gift from the local Lions Club, this park offers nearby neighborhood residents a pleasant place to sit, picnic, or just spend some family fun time. Lions Park includes a basketball court, park benches, picnic table, and playground equipment.
Haney Park
Located along Juniper & Haney Streets alongside Flat River Creek.
Haney Park has a pedestrian bridge built over Flat River Creek which connects to Coffman Street and the downtown business district. Residents and visitors can enjoy an outdoor basketball court, newly installed PICKLEBALL COURTS, tennis courts, and playground equipment.
This park is also known for its one-mile walking and biking trail which includes the recent addition of new lighting. The trail leads from the south end of the park, along the river to a parking area at the north end of the City's largest soccer field.
Haney Park serves as the location of the City's recreational soccer league tournaments and includes four soccer fields, and a concessions building for use during the scheduled soccer tournaments, and restrooms at both ends of the park.
American Legion Park
Located at Vivian Court & Seventh Street.
The local American Legion assisted the city with equipping this park. American Legion Park is perfect for small picnics or family outings and includes playground equipment, park benches, a basketball court, and picnic tables.
Elvins Park
Located just off of East Elvins Blvd, between Garrett Street & Welch Street
Named for a local founding family, this cozy little park is perfect for small family picnics or reunions. There are two pavilions, several picnic tables, a basketball goal, and new playground equipment. New restrooms were added to the park in the fall of 2018.
Please call City Hall to reserve the pavilions. A small reservation fee is required for reserving any of the city's Park Pavilions.
Veteran's Park
Located on Business Route 32 at 100 West Elvins Blvd.
This roadside park is a great place to sit and relax. It has a monument dedicated to "Veterans of all Wars". The park provides a shady, attractive resting site near the grave of the infamous Civil War Bushwacker and Confederate Army Major, Sam Hildebrand.
Eagle Scout candidate, Drew Marler, of Boy Scout Troop 423, constructed a gazebo at Veteran's Park as an honor to all those from our community who have served in our Armed Forces.
