The Park Hills Public Library is proud to announce the grand opening of the Park Hills Public Library Community Fridge Project, set to take place on Monday, March 4, 2024, at 10 AM. This innovative project aims to provide all community members with equal access to safe and healthy food.
The Community Fridge Project is a testament to the power of collaboration and community spirit. By partnering with local organizations, including Ameren Missouri, Proffer Produce, and Desloge Walmart Super Center, the project seeks to eliminate food waste while ensuring that no member of our community goes hungry.
Mission Statement: It is the purpose of the Park Hills Public Library Community Fridge Project to provide equal access for all community members to safe and healthy food. We aim to address the issue of hunger in our community by partnering with area organizations to help eliminate food waste. Our hope is to strengthen our community and to provide a sharing environment for all of its members.
The initiative is inspired by the belief that "Life is Better When It's Shared." It encourages community members to take what they need and give what they can, fostering a culture of sharing and caring.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our community partners, Ameren Missouri, Proffer Produce, and Desloge Walmart Super Center, for their generous support and commitment to making a difference in the lives of our community members.
